Contribute to the Spring Creek Chapter Founders Endowment
The Founders Endowment provides lasting support for the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited to conserve, protect, and restore Spring Creek's cold-water fishery and watershed, as well as the greater Bald Eagle watershed.
On February 1, 1973, the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited was established to address the precarious condition of Spring Creek. At that time, toxic chemical levels had wiped out all insect life, and a building boom in the watershed led to a major siltation problem. Their outreach and educational programs for youth and adults ensure the public is well informed about caring for and using Spring Creek as a precious resource. Over the years, the chapter has taken on several large projects, including the restoration of Thompson Run, the removal of McCoy Dam, and continued stream clean-up, to conserve, protect, and restore Spring Creek.
